Le Rive means "the shore". It's named for the ripples driftwood leaves in wet sand, which is what the weave looks like when the light catches it.
You already read the label on your food. This is the same question asked about what sits against your skin all day.
What it's made of
100% linen. Nothing blended in, no viscose, no polyester in the tassels. Woven on a shuttle loom by artisans in India. It is mid-weight: enough body to hold a shape, light enough for a summer morning.
What it's like to live with
It's not itchy or scratchy, but soft and gentle against your skin. Linen naturally breathes and it softens with every wash and grows more comfortable with age.
Environmental Impact
Biodegradable: Linen comes from the flax plant and breaks down naturally unlike polyester which is non-biodegradable.
Microplastics: Washing polyester releases tiny plastic particles into waterways. Linen creates zero harmful plastic waste
Machine wash cold on gentle, line dry in the shade. Don't tumble dry it.
